![]() ![]() has information about people's address but doesn't automatically add it to "places".Why would the address field exist, if you are supposed to put the address in the "place" field? MacFamilyTree has a separate field in each event for an address, in addition to place.also appears to follow this convention of not including addresses.This includes documentation, example trees, trees from family members and other users. I have not seen any examples a "place" being a specific address, i.e.I would expect a street address counts as a place but there appears to be some rule about only using cities or cemeteries. I've been researching genealogy for a few months, and I still cannot find a clear answer to what a "place" is "supposed" to be. It's a small gesture but seriously, respect peoples' time & effort in helping you out. It's perfectly OK to ask for any info if you're looking for fresh leads, but you can help people to focus their efforts & look at the correct sources if you are more specific. Be clear & specific about what info you want help finding.Don't make people waste their time by duplicating work.
